Muesli Health Breakfast

 

Energy or superfoods are important in preserving vitality and delaying the aging process. The demand for a variety of dietary requirements will be on the increase.

Mashed Seasonal Berries with Farm-fresh yoghurt, recently spun Honey and Homemade Muesli

Starting the day off on the correct footing - Eating Healthy

Muesli

Ingredients:

1 cup All Bran

1 cup Corn Flakes

1/3 cup Linseed

1/3 cup desiccated Coconut

1/3 cup Poppy seed

4 cups Rolled Oats

1 cup Honey

200g Dried Fruit (Chef's suggestion: chopped up Banana, Apricots, Mangoes and Sultanas)

200g Roasted Nuts (Chef's suggestion: chopped up Walnuts, Pecan, Almonds and Pistachio nuts)

Method:

1) Roast oats with honey until golden

2) Roast chopped nuts and then chop dried fruit selection up

3) When the ingredients are cool mix together and set aside

On service

Per person

Take a fork and lightly mash your selection of berries (about 80 g), add this to yoghurt (170g) and serve with honey (drizzle) and homemade muesli (1 or 2 Tablespoons)
